Light & Dark

In between light and dark

Is where I rest my aching head

Acid rain falls from the purple clouds

Onto the muddy deserts, the silent rivers

The greying cities

And the swollen hearts

Like yours and mine.

And then in the night

This long, long night

The tired moon is useless company

Like the partner at your side

Only the mirror can read your thoughts

Dreaming, craving

Eat your gold and dig up your jewels

This fierce yearning

There must be more
